This review is from: Bose ® SoundLink ® Mini Travel Bag (Wireless Phone Accessory)
I was really struck with the staggering cost of this little case (I couldn't justify £37 for a case) - found this bag instead £20 cheaper - Lowepro Format 110. The Lowepro is a lot more padded than the Bose offering, which is reassuring given the aluminium construction which I'm sure will scratch easily when travelling around unprotected in my big bag. It is 19cm width (speaker is 18cm - so fits nicely) and has space for the charging bits too and an aux cable too if needed. Plus its Lowepro - so it seems well made.

I have searched for the Lowepro bag mentioned - no luck. Is it the Format or Apex 110?

If you search on Google for "Lowepro Format 110" the one I bought was the second result (from Currys) - annoyingly Amazon don't seem to sell it.

Thank you for the excellent tip regarding the Lowepro Format 110. Do you have a soft cover on your Soundlink Mini and, if so, does the Mini fit into the Format 110 with the soft cover on ?

I don't personally bother with the cover. The inside of the lowepro bag functions as the soft side of Velcro. What I did was get a padded divider from another spared bag and use it to hold the speaker in place. Can tip the bag upside down whilst unzipped and the speaker won't fall out. I can then put the little charging pad in top of the foam divider and the two won't rub against each other. The zip pocked I use for the cable - however it won't fit the British plug adapter in well - I also zip this into the main bag or keep separately. To be honest - you are more likely to leave the charger plugged in at home, but it's nice to have the option. I actually am not keen on the Bose soft covers colours so don't think I would have bought one even if they were decently priced.

Yes I have the Orange Bose cover on mine for added safety. The soundlink is very easy to damage when out of the case.

Amazon sell them now, at a rather more expensive price than Currys though.

Thanks everyone. I was just considering buying both the soft case and the travel bag to protect the Bose mini sound-link. After reading all your comments, I've gone for the Lowepro 110. Keep posting your recommendations and thoughts.
