Dark, dirty and disturbing AND funny, heartfelt folly?,

What to make of these guys? If Jarvis Cocker remade Twin Peaks then this might end up as the soundtrack (assuming of course that Jarvis was too busy making his directorial debut).
They evoke the monster hiding behind raylon curtains. And the uncomfortable ideas that we don't admit to ourselves let alone write a song about. I presume this is where the name of the album comes in.
My favourite track is 'Couldn't Get Off' mainly because it reminds me of Banarama/Fun Boy Three's 'It aint what you do (It's the way that you do it).
Overall a catchy and intriguing debut album by a unique band.
