This review is from: The Illustrated World Encyclopaedia of Butterflies and Moths: A Natural History and Identification Guide to Rare and Familiar Species (Hardcover)
I've only just received this book but first impressions are very good. It's not designed to be a field book. It is a world book of butterflies and moths, it tells about the formation of the insects through to the completed butterfly. It also give the makeup of them, should make for interesting reading. A third of the book is spent on the above the rest on the butterflies and moths themselves and the colorful illustrations are wonderful and larger than other books I've seen. Each creature is given detailed information, there are about two creatures per page. The book has a glossary and a decent index at the back.
I highly recommend this book.
