Can't help playing it "once more",
This review is from: Once More (Audio CD)
I was a little nervous about this album, as being an original 1980's Spandau fan, I thought it might be awful...but it isn't. I agree there's a touch of the Boy Band in one of the new tracks and some "Bond theme" elements slipping in, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. Chant No. 1 is actually an improvement on the original, in my opinion, and age does nothing to wither Tony's wonderful crooning. Plus, I can play it on my car stereo without sounding like I'm on a nostalgia trip, or without annoying my children (aged 9 and 4) who seem to think it's quite good. The band could definitely produce a new album if the quality was as good as the two new tracks. They still have something of the distinctive sound, but updated. This music makes me happy.
