This review is from: The Coaching Manual: The Definitive Guide to the Process, Principles and Skills of Personal Coaching (Paperback)
If you are planning to become a coach or if you are establishing an in house coaching capability and need a good basic grounding in the essentials, this is a pretty good starting point as a reasonably comprehensive text on the rudiments of coaching. It covers different coaching principles, effective questioning, establishing a goal, environmental considerations, and feedback - nothing particularly new or exciting but Julie Starr covers the basics clearly. If you want one easy to read book that covers most of the basics in reasonable detail this book takes some beating.
