Having 3 teenage children I thought my new baby would be a doddle. How wrong I was. He was colicky and slept little at night something which I hadn't experienced with my other kids and was generally rather a "difficult " baby to deal with the first couple of months. After reading reviews about this book I thought I'd buy it and see if it could offer me any help. The book contains some sound, common sense information, a lot of which I realised I already knew but for whatever reason I had failed to draw on when caring for my new baby. I can't say that I will follow everything rigidly as in the book but it has some brilliant pieces of advice and has helped me understand my new baby and realise that it is not only me who has been blessed with a night waking screamer of a child. He is almost 3 months now and although he isn't yet sleeping throught he night, the advice in the book is helping me to help him to do this. Worth buying!
