Not Exactly 'One Pot',
This review is from: Hamlyn All Colour Cookbook: 200 One Pot Meals: 200 One Pot Recipes (Hamlyn All Colour Cookbooks) (Paperback)
Customer review from the Amazon Vine Programme (What's this?)First thing to point out, most of these recipes don't just use a slow cooker or single oven pot and actually require a veriety of oven cooking, hob cooking, etc first so the title is pretty misleading.
That grumble aside it's a reasonable book but probably not the best in the Hamyln 200 recipe series.
The layout is nice and simple with a page per recipe and nice illustrations throughout, ingredients listed at the beginning and step by step instructions.
There are some good basic recipes in the book as well as some more exotic and obscure ones but another drawback is that some of the ingredients, particularly the herbs, are really not every day herbs so if you are planning on using it you'll need to check the ingredients in advance and make sure you can get them(some really are pretty obscure and it doesn't recommend alternatives).
Overall it's an OK recipe book that would get occasional use but certainly not one you'd use all the time but for the price it's still a bargain
