Good for explaining severely autistic children,
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: My Brother is Different: A Book for Young Children Who Have a Brother or Sister with Autism (Paperback)
I bought this book on the recommendations of those on this site. My son has Autism, but does not bite his sister, need to be contained in a pushchair, or need to wear a nappy. I am sure this book would be perfect for families with a severely autistic child, but for those of us whose children are not so severe, it simply served to upset and confuse when the aim was better understanding.

I have just received this book and thought it could help, as one of my grandsons, the eldest who is 7, is on the autistic spectrum, but he's very intelligent and, like you M Routhorn, he hasn't got the traits that this book includes. I am therefore going to ask if Amazon have a more appropriate book, which could be shared by my eldest grandson and his younger 5 year old brother, as this one is just not appropriate, so I will not even be showing it to them! The trouble is that it's difficult to know what the book is like until it's received!!
