Excellent for the price,
This review is from: Draper 185mm 7" Electric Held hand Circular Saw 230v 1300w (Misc.)
I've used many top-end circular saw brands like Makita, Dewalt, Hitatchi and Ryobi, and yes they're very good; but this Draper 1300w laser guided circular saw is more than a match for them big boys for the keen woodworker. I got mine for £30 from one of the major DIY retailers (I asked if they had any shop-soiled demonstration models going spare.... I've found it's always worth asking...please do it, new models are constantly coming on the market, making older models obsolete). So I knew my saw was well broken-in and with a brand new blade thrown-in worth £9, it works like a charm. Very well built, professional looking with very accurate ripping motion at a fraction of the cost.
A bit of spec for you: Max. depth of cut at 90 degrees is 63mm/2.5inch approx.; Max. depth of cut at 45 degrees is 40mm/1.6inch approx.; Weight is 4.65Kg/10.25lbs; 3m/3.28yds of cable, 2 x AAA batteries for the laser light (has a separate on/off switch). Shop around though folks, I've found the price of this saw varies from £45 excl P&P to £80 incl P&P.
