This review is from: Bound to You: Falling in love is a dangerous game... (Paperback)
I've never read any of the 50 Shades books, primarily because I think they're aimed at the female market, tho I could be wrong.
I was interested in this book primarily because it was a true story and tells of Nichi's travels from being 'vanilla' to being a Domme to being 'topped' by Sebastian.
The first part of the book focuses on her 'regular' relationship and provides a bit of background as to what makes Nichi tick and allows the contrast to what or who she becomes more apparent. It's written in a fairly relaxed manner making it easy to read. I could imagine some people reading it in one sitting but I spread it over a few weeks dipping in and out as time permitted.
There are a few 'sex scenes' as you'd expect no doubt but they were done reasonably well, i.e. not totally cringingly and not straight out of a b-list porn script, not that I'd know about that *ahem*
I would imagine there is another book to follow and I'll probably pick it up to see how things develop. I'm sure a psychologist would have something to say but I didn't particularly like either of the 2 main male characters and there's a good chance I won't like the third either but that just made reading the book that little bit more entertaining!
