Customer review from the Amazon Vine Programme (What's this?)
In the easy to open plastic blister pack theres a little 'double speed' 4Gb micro-SD card supplied stuck inside a bright-green soft rubber brick [2.5 x 2.5 x 0.5cm]. This well made rubber brick functions as a key-ring type holder and there's even a matching cable loop to attach it to stuff. Granted I wouldn't trust my data card attached to most things, but it might suite attaching to something mobile with a microSDHC card slot. The brick is naturally very handy as an additional protector and it's harder to missplace. Extracting the card from the block is a bit tricky though as it fits in so snugly [but thats what stops it falling out]. There's also a very useful SD adapter that seems particularly well made, just like the carrying 'brick'.
Naturally the 4Gb microSDHCcard works fine, being a branded one, and the insert says it's got a Samsung 10 year guarentee [just for the hardware replacement], although Samsung's UK website states just 5 years. Apparently the cards water proof for 24h in seawater, magnet-proof [resists 13x the magnetic force of home theatre speakers] and shock proof [will survive high pressures, e.g. sitting under a 1.6 ton car]. And Samsung rightly point out 'this attention to detail in ruggedizing these cards has also been given their design, right down to their accessories and the premium finnish '. I'm not a fan of Samsung hard drives [which are in the budget range], but I am of their PC monitors and now their memory cards. The specs of this cards are: Speed (read) 15MB/sec,, Speed (write) 6 to 7MB/sec, Speed Class Class 4. I suppose only price or ultimate transfer speed might be the factor when buying, as there's also the Sandisk memory card range that offers similar quality and design [although without the fun green 'carry brick'].
