More than Paramore,

I came across this British band when they supported The Rasmus earlier this month. They were great fun and really awesome live, so I was keen to check out the album afterwards. It's all very melody-centric with excellent arrangements and not a weak track to be found. Technically, it's very tidy, well produced with nice ideas but never loses the personality of what this band are about. They remind me of Paramore or VersaEmerge - radio-friendly in the American sense - but with much stronger songwriting. If there's one fault to find, it's that they don't really mix it up - there's no sign of a ballad here, but on the other hand, they're probably just sticking to what they do best. If you like one track, you'll probably like the rest.
One side issue: I've seen comments on YouTube, etc, accusing them of copying others' styles or "trying to be" some rock star or other. I find this really insulting for a band who work really hard to connect with fans on social media and after gigs. They just are what they are, and if you're ever lucky enough to see them live, you'll see that for yourself.
