Pete Vealey taps into his rich vein of personal and social observation as he ponders on those aspects and moments of life that define us but are not always apparent or readily understood at the time of experiencing them. He is insightful witty, dark and brooding but yet curiously optimistic if only in a small way, as if he himself can't quite believe it. There are moments of high drama wrapped in an enigmatic barrage of emotional fire that burns at the reader asking questions that are just a tad uncomfortable at times.
Vealey is an unashamed socialist and champion of the disenfranchised but yet the politics play out in a human and all pervasive manner that gives hope to all whilst avoiding high handed moralising.
In conclusin this is a book that will cause you to reflect upon your particular life and it will be better for it.
