This review is from: Prestige Smartplus Stainless Steel Pressure Cooker - 6 Litre (Kitchen & Home)
I have used a pressure cooker all my life. Never expected such a bad quality product from prestige. It is not a pressure cooker actually. The steam leaks through the valve all the time. So there is grater water loss and longer cooking time. I over cooked something and within 5 minutes the safety plug on top melted along with all the red colored plastic. This was a brand new cooker. I just lost my 35 pounds. All the add on features like double pressure etc are all eyewash. They don't add any value. If Prestige keeps on doing this, they will go out of business soon.

I was thinking of replacing my Prestige pressure cooker (circa 1989) but as there's nothing really wrong with it, I think I won't bother if the new ones aren't any better!!
I had one back in 1974 and only sold it at a Car Boot because I moved house in 1989 and wanted all new saucepans for my new ceramic cooker!! Aluminium comes up a treat with elbow grease and brillo pads!!

I can only say that the Prestige after sales service is excellent. If your cooker is even out of warranty, they will usually help. Go onto their website and telephone their customer service reps number. They serviced the lid of my pressure cooker free of charge, even sent me a pre-paid postal bag.
