This review is from: Mac Basics in Simple Steps (Paperback)Like others no doubt, I recently bought a Mac mini after years of using Windows and needed guidance. I bought this book but I found it a complete waste of money. Others may find it useful, but I doubt it. More detailed criticisms could be offered but to be honest, I've spent enough time on this book already!

Bob Holmes says:
I have to say that I am amazed by this comment. I teach beginners to use computers and I'm always on the lookout for good books to help them. This is far better than most, with very clear descriptions and not too much jargon. Possibly Mr Munford wanted something in more depth - if so the title should have given him a clue...

Mac Berrington says:
I bought this book when I moved from a PC to a Mac and as already commented, as the title suggests 'Mac Basics' means just what it says.
I found that it gave me the foundation I was looking for and that the review by AMM to be unfair as anyone looking for the basics of Mac should not be disappointed.
I agree with Bob Holmes.
