My Culinary Soul Mate,
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: Nigel Slater - Simple Suppers Series 2 [DVD] (DVD)
Nigel Slater can do no wrong. I have not yet seen this dvd, but on the strength of Simple Suppers 1 I would heartily recommend it. All his suppers are tasty & easy to prepare. Nothing tricky & no showing off.
On dvd he is friendly & has a relaxed rule-free approach to food preparation. His writing style is a dream & has you salivating before you get anywhere near the kitchen.I have just about everything he has ever written and without fail, any recipe I use is always a success.
There are no tantrums & histrionics in Nigel's style. He does not patronise. He treats food with respect & prepares it so simply & with minimal fuss you would have to be just about brain-dead to make a mess of a meal.
Personally, I prefer a recipe book to a dvd, but there's no way this little beauty will not be winging it's way to NZ before you can say 'Suppertime'.

What exactly are you reviewing here if you have not seen the product yet?
Your personal opinion and fantasis or how you feel about Mr Slater's previous work? Are you his publicist? (I have no problem with your feeling for Mr Slater's work by the way, since I too think his work is good, but you have FAILED to actually review the product which is the purpose of giving the rating). Amazon should not allow people to rate a product if they have not experienced it, otherwise it is abuse of the chance given to review a product for potential buyers.

How sour & anal can you get? It's pretty obvious I have not seen the 'product' if it has not been released, & no I am not 'his publicist'. Expressing enthusiasm based on previous material of consistently high quality is the recommendation. You don't need to be a rocket scientist to work that one out. With NZ denied the majority of entertainment freely available in UK, I rely on, & am grateful for others' opinions which have influenced my decisions on whether to purchase or not. So try & look on the bright side of life - it's full of happy surprises if you are open to them.

I find your response an indicator of your ignorance. You don't seem to uderstand the simple fact that you are suppose to give the ratings on amazon after you have tested a product, otherwise your rating of the product is simply worthless if you have not tried it. This is common sense which you seem to lack in addition to your lack of social manners. The fact that NZ denied the majority of entertainment freely available in UK is irrelevant ot the fact that you have rated a product that you have not tried and tested.
You have admitted it yourself that you have not seen this dvd yet but you still went ahead and rated it!! How would you feel if someone else had done the same as you have done, rating a product they have not tested?
As for your comement "So try & look on the bright side of life", well, you have admitted yourself that you have not seen the product yet but you still went ahead and rated it anyway. Any fairminded person would agree that this is called "dishonesty".
Your arrogant reaction is more like a bully who is trying to force her/his opinion on others and it says more about your mentality than mine.

I am not an over the top bully or any kind of bully. you worte a review when you hadn't even seen the product and that is not right. You can't call people bully just because they object to your abuse of the review system.
