What can I say, what a brilliant game!! I am usually a Command and Conquer man when it comes to strategy and sci-fi when I'm interested in space battles and controlling fleets (eg. Star Trek Armada 2). This game has both aspects. And what makes it better is that you can upgrade the ships to a greater extent and use spies to espionage or even sabotage your enemy plans. Planatary Assault plays a very important role in wining the game.
The game itself is based on 3 races, humans obviously being one of them. The other two are the shinari and the kraken. Humans are the average race with no particular strengths but are the easiest interface and beginners will like this race. The shinari are more secretive and use spies more than military conflict (weak ships). The kraken are the bee's knees for military power but they have no means for using spies or otherwise.
In short: 3 slightly different races, easy to get the hang off, multiplayer aspect is great, graphics are good considering age, suitable for most RTS players.
