This review is from: Introducing Romanticism (Paperback)
Be warned about this book- it is virtually a picture book with a small amount of text on each page. Every page has a very large illustration and about a paragraph or two of text. I was very annoyed at this, as I was led to believe that this book would be useful for my University course, but it was not. I have given the book two stars however, because the text that was in there, did contain some useful information.

Is such a low comment really merited considering that we have the option to "Look inside..." the book before buying? I don't mean to be rude, but your lack of research has no bearing on the quality of the book. :)

Well, I for one, was nearly intent on pressing the one click without looking at the contents, and am grateful that this warning saved me time and money. To anyone knowing absolutely nothing of these things then I can see how this book might be an easy introduction to key ideas. But take away the superfluous illustrations and what you are left with amounts to the notes one might take while reading a more serious and substantial book on the subject. It's really just a bluffer's guide.
