1.0 out of 5 stars He criticises other X Factor albums, then releases this?, 9 Nov. 2013
By
This review is from: James Arthur [Explicit] (MP3 Download)
He showed so much promise and his arrogance towards other contestants gave the impression he was going to release something solid, different and fresh. Sadly, it is not.
This is just him screaming i.e. generic pop music where he tries to be "badass". And most songs lack any decent melody.

INSTANTLY forgettable I am afraid. I so wanted to like this...

Benji says:
His album just sold less than Matt Cardle's debut did. Hilarious after his comments about other winners albums being not great. I guess that means his own album is is rubbish too.

Andrew says:
He was actually asked in an interview why previous winners weren't very successful. His answer never even made a reference to Matt Cardle. The media then twisted his words in order to make out that he suddenly started slagging off previous winners. I think the media have been very unfair to James and everyone seems to be taking what magazines say as gospel. We all know that the media blow things out of proportion to sell papers.

On a separate note and I know you didn't comment about this but since I'm writing and others may see this. As far as the rap goes, he said queer to insult Micky worthless in retort to Micky worthless saying pretty much the same thing. He is hardly a homophobe, he used a politically incorrect word in the heat of a rap battle. This hardly reflects his entire disposition towards the Gay community (as ever rylan Clark has said recently), its just unfortunate that he is in the limelight as this has made him the centre of personal attacks which arguably are much more severe and hateful than his queer comment anyway. I think the people who argue the case that he's a homophobe and then in the same sentence insult him using the most hateful language are hypocrites and need to seriously re-evaluate their life.

Sorry for the essay reply and none of it really applies to your comment except the first paragraph, I just felt that I had to give my point of view as the one star comment section is inundated with hateful comments.

Wise words from intellectual pygmy Rylan Clark, who also decided to refer to Tom Daley's coming out as "non-news", which whilst we all wished it wasn't; is news, because at the moment the gay community have hopeless talentless wasters like Rylan Clark to speak for them. Hopefully he will disappear just as quickly as all the other X factor winners have.
