A great coffee table book,

It is a nice book to have on the coffee table in the sitting room. At a hefty 900 pages, there is no way you would want to carry this book around with you. It is not a guidebook, although it has sections with information about each city featured in the photos. Filled with great photos printed on lovely, glossy paper, it is one of those books which is great to flip through. Each city has strengths and weaknesses. Some of these need more elaboration though, for example, as another reviewer pointed out July is listed as a weakness of Belfast. Why? The summaries of each city are very brief and I would certainly look elsewhere for more info if I were seriously planning a trip to one of these cities. But it is an enjoyable book to keep in the sitting room and look through from time-to-time. The photos are splendid!
