Lasted just over one year - quality suspect,
This review is from: Hunter Women's Lady Balmoral Wellington Boot (Apparel)
The first pair of Hunter wellies I bought were the "ordinary" basic Hunters and they lasted me 15 years. I needed a new pair that were warmer and better for walking in and Hunter have a name for quality - however in my opinion they are now trading on the name and the quality is not there (I suspect the original family have sold it out to new management who are only looking at maximum profit and care less about the name). I am not a heavy user, I walk my dogs with these in grassland, I'm not trecking across rough ground and they have had an easy life. The seam has failed above the toe and I wrote to Hunter expressing my disappointment and they offered me 15% off another pair. Having heard from others who have had similar quality issues I will never buy another pair of Hunter's.
Instead I have bought Sealand "Outthere" 16" side zip. These look and feel to be a league above the Hunter offering at about the same price: very sturdy, higher quality foot insert and appear more rugged. Time will tell, but I'll not buy Hunter again.
