Good watch for day to day use,

This review is from: Invicta Speedway 9223 40 Silver Steel Bracelet & Case Mineral Men's Quartz Watch (Watch)
Needed to pension off my old Omega Constellation for only special occasions. So I wanted something tough and cheap for the garage, mountain bike, everything else really! Bought this on price - under £70 for a £375 watch. The chronograph manual supplied is for 1/10ths, secs and minutes. The watch is in secs, mins and hrs and the B button for reset doesn't reset the hr Chrono dial which has to be set/reset on the centre button. This moves the hour hand at the same time - not ideal!! the other resets are ok but the A button - ie the top one - also winds the sec Chrono dial backwards if held in (not mentioned in the booklet) The flourescent hands etc seem to need light to make 'em flouresce...? If left in the dark too long the hands and divisions are barely legible.
All that said, I like the fit and feel of the Invicta, which is not too bulky but feels sturdy and well made. I especially like the lock on the clasp. This obviates the possibility of catching the clasp and dropping the watch (as with the Omega!).
I'm guessing I wont use the chrono dials that often - bit fiddly in the cold and wet, but despite that I'm already growing to appreciate this as a solid piece of kit - I guess i'll end up getting yet another timer/watch for sports stuff. Whatever.
