So very badly designed and uncomfortable.. It's a shame!,
This review is from: Veho VEP-005-BTGUM Gumball Edition Bluetooth Wireless Headphones with Leather Earpads and Mic for iPhone/iPad/iPod Touch/Smartphone/Bluetooth Devices (Electronics)There is a plus side to these headphones so let's cover that first. They paired to my iPhone4 flawlessly.
Now the negatives.
They feel awful to wear. The headband is hard with no padding so very uncomfortable. They only make contact with the head in a small area in the middle which starts to hurt after a while. There is no way to adjust the tightness so the phones sit too loosely on the ears losing a lot of the sound quality. The phones fall forward all the time and you find yourself with no confidence in them staying on your head.
The touch sensitive controls on the right headphone are hit and miss at best and they very annoyingly change track and volume when you touch the phones to try to adjust them as they begin to fall off, which happens often.
The button in the middle which you press and hold for certain functions seems only to manage to activate the speech recognition on the iPhone which, even if you don't speak, more often than not ends up calling some random person from the phonebook.
The built in microphone could be a plus, but I cannot see where it would be genuinely useful? In a car or on a bicycle perhaps, but would you wear phones whilst driving or cycling? I wouldn't.
For those of you who hoped you may be able to use these phones for your home hifi or other non-Bluetooth enabled devices, be aware there is no adapter with these headphones and you will have to buy a third party audio to Bluetooth dongle.
Support is not the best. I contacted them as I saw a dongle advertised that may have been suitable for these headphones, but the ad stated that it would only pair with devises using passkey 0000. I asked Veho Tech Support what passkey the headphones use as default and the reply was 'These headphones do not need a passkey.' Thanks (NOT!)
Finally and perhaps most annoyingly, the large button in the middle of the right headphone flashes on and off three times every 5 seconds or so, making you look like an idiot, wasting the battery and lighting you up like a beacon to potential muggers!
Over all very uncomfortable and awkward to wear and use. I am very disappointed with them.

Thank you for your feedback on the headphones, we appreciate all comments as we can pass these onto our R&D team to further develop and create better products in the future.
We would like to apologise for the short answer that you received from a member of our support team, they should have elaborated that whilst the headphones do not usually need a passkey for Bluetooth connection, if the device that you are connecting to asks for one then you should be able to use 0000 as this is the default for the headphones.

Thank you for the reply.
I was really hoping to love these headphones but unfortunately not. I appreciate that you take on board my comments for R&D.
The light constantly flashing on the right headphone is the most ridiculous thing I have ever seen on a set of headphones. I cannot wear the headphones outside since I noticed this. It really does make me feel stupid and living in the inner city as I do, it really does draw attention to the fact you are wearing a relatively expensive set of headphones and that makes me feel unsafe. It is beyond the beyond to me that this was thought to be a good design idea! Is there any way to stop the flashing? I'm about to cover it with messy electrical tape so any advice would be welcome.
Thanks again for the reply and sorry my review could not be more positive.

We have some good news and some bad news. The bad news is that unfortunately you cannot stop the flashing on the side of the headphones, our apologies for this.
The good news is that we are currently in the early stages of our next version of Bluetooth headphones and following feedback from consumers like yourself we are developing them to be a lot more comfortable and user friendly than the current VEP-004 and VEP-005 headphones. They will have a soft cushioned padding across the top of the head, which will also be rubberised to avoid them slipping from position. They will no longer have controls on the side, just an on/off button, so all music will be controlled via the user's Bluetooth device, as we have found that many consumers like yourself found the touch controls very difficult to use. You will also be able to use them wired as well as via Bluetooth for devices that do not have this function. Unfortunately no news yet on whether these will flash or not but like we have said your comments have been passed on so this will certainly be taken into consideration. We are hoping that these new headphones will be released some time in Summer 2012, but keep an eye on our website at www.veho-world.com for any news or updates.
Thank you again for your comments and for your continued support in Veho.
