Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: Klipsch Image X10i Noise Isolating In-Ear Headset with 3-Button Mic for iPhone / iPod - Black (Electronics)
I don't propose to be too analytical. There is already a plethora of reviews out there which will tell you about soundstage, bass, headroom etc. In brief then: my preference is neutrality, although when it comes to in ear headsets, I don't mind a slight warmth rather than a dry and brittle delivery. My previous phones were q-Jays, and I would have gladly had them replaced under warranty, if only Jays had still produced them. Instead I tried Atomic Floyd Superdarts, which were awful, UE 700's, which sounded good, but failed after a few days and Musical Fidelity eb-50's, which sounded quite good so long as you were prepared to hold them in place, and cup your hands over your ears. I hesitated before buying the X10i's because of there being so many adverse reports about the cable. I've worn mine almost daily for a few weeks now, and there has been no problem. In fact, the earpieces are so light that heavy duty cables would seem altogether inappropriate. They are extremely comfortable earphones, very revealing, have great musicality, and are thoroughly enjoyable to use. There is plenty of everything, bass, mid, top, and all accurate, with no muddiness or sibilance. To compare them to other earphones in respect of price, I can say that they are way better than anything I've heard for less than £150. How they compare with rivals at the RRP, I wouldn't know as I could never spend that amount on earphones, unless I had a windfall, and so have never had the chance to hear. I paid about £140, which I consider to be very good value. Should I have any further cable news, I'll update.

Update: I wear these earphones daily. I wear them at my desk, working, and on a daily walk, trying to stay healthy. They would still get 5 stars if I were to review them. I've had no issues with durability, and can't imagine how other owners have suffered so badly from build quality. I don't handle my 'phones with mint, surgical tweezers, but still no problems.
