Perfect for romantics,
This review is from: This is a Love Story: But Not Every Story is the Same (Paperback)
Customer review from the Amazon Vine Programme (What's this?)When I read that this book was bit like 'One Day' by David Nicholls I did initially worry about the ending! I don't think that it is actually that similar to One Day. That book spanned decades of the characters lives while here we barely pass a few years. Also in this story the characters are clearly in love with one another from the start.
The story is about Sienna and Nick whose eyes meet across a packed commuter train. They end up being colleagues in an office and struggle to tell each other how they feel about one another. The story is about missed moments and the soul destroying feeling of loving someone but never being brave enough to tell them.
The best thing about this book for me was the style of writing. I liked the fact that we had Nick and Sienna's story with the alternating chapters. The author's style of writing was humorous and engaging. Reading this book was easy and enjoyable. She was spot on with her description of the lives and relationships that twenty something city dwellers have.
I would recommend this book as a good read if you are looking for a sweet, uplifting story.
