A low cost opener that keeps working well...,
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: Brabantia Essential Line Can Opener with Plastic Handle (Kitchen & Home)
This is a sturdy & effective tool that performs well without any strain time after time. It also comes at a very reasonable cost.
There are a lot of naff tin openers out there (some very cheap & some very expensive).
Most ultimately fail or become too inefficient after a short period of time. This is the second Brabantia Essential tin opener we have purchased in the last 7 years, and not because of failure of the first...
We purchased this one for use in the caravan, and the original will be staying in the house (hopefully for another 7 years)...
I believe that says a lot...
Ouch!!! There are a lot of reviews for this item & mine is apparently the most "unhelpful" with one finding it so & no-one finding it "helpful". I am at a loss to understand why (please can someone tell me)... :) ???

That's really nice of you (thanks). I guess people mark "unhelpful" for a lot of reasons (usually because a review is actually really not helpful, but sometimes by a reviewer who has an opinion of it at the opposite end of the spectrum to your own). It is even sometimes evident (when you have a lot of Amazon reviews) that the odd person will leave a tactical "unhelpful" in order to simply improve their Amazon reviewer rating (by sullying yours). hand on heart, I have never engaged in this, but it is well known that many do.
I guess I am a bit of a saddo in that I enjoy reviewing things that I purchase on Amazon (Michael McIntyre does a hilarious comedy skit that sends my type up fantastically, which I love).
It still stings a little as to why such a simple review based upon a very good record of my personal experience of the item can attract negativity.
I was really asking the negative voter to stick his head over "the parapet" & expand on his reasons for doing so.
Thanks again for the positivity...
It's a really good tool & I hope that you have as good an experience as I have had with the two I own.
