3.0 out of 5 stars It is what it is., 31 Mar 2009
This review is from: Long John Silver 5 DVD Set (TV Series) (DVD)
Newton does carry this whole series. He is great! But this is low low budget. Sometimes the backgrounds appear to be a hanging canvas with a wall painted on it. And the female lead speaks with SUCH a New York Bronx accent it grates on me. Jim is a woosie of the first degree. The other pirates are very stereotypical; hook, eye-patch and scars parade.
Worth a look for Newton and TV sitcom history.
