What's Up Doc?
The Sixth Doctor & companion Evelyn visit the Clutch & discover there spacecraft which has a living in community all of it's own somehow never seem to stay on one planet for very long.
The Doctor is feared by a race known as the Galyari who see the Doctor as a imposing figure of menace called the Sandman an ancient figure of there past mythology who preys on the old & young alike, A character who lurks in the shadows were to look upon his features means certain death.
To Evelyn's surprise the Doctor announces it is true he is infact the Sandman & that all Galyari should fear his wrath.
Can the Doctor really be a shadowy symbol of fear a man who is the harbinger of death?, As Evelyn starts to wonder just exactly who is this man she's traveling in time & space with?
This has mixed reviews from Doctor Who Big Finish fan's but I thought it was a genuinely intriguing mystery adventure & had a fresh perspective take on the Doctor as instead of battling monster's it is the Doctor whom is deemed a monster in this audio.
Colin Baker gives a very impressive performance as the Sixth Doctor & leaves the listener to ponder what his true motives are.
The story has a few nice twists to the play & has great support from Maggie Stables as Evelyn & Annke Wills as Director Nrosha.
Great sound effects & music in this Big Finish production enhances the atmosphere of the plays eerily tone.
A insightful intriguing Sixth Doctor audio adventure.

I liked that it attempted something different placing the Doctor as a possibly villian & adding another layer to his character.
Cheers for comments mate.

Great review timelord007 - I enjoyed this story, I think because it showed the Doctor as a darker character (and evidence that there's so much of his past we haven't been made aware of), and Evelyn wondering whether she can trust him.

That is what I liked as it made the Doctor a mysterious figure.
