This review is from: The Secret History of the American Empire: The Truth about Economic Hit Men, Jackals, and How to Change the World (Paperback)
I read this book and think it's OK. I get the feeling that it's not the whole story though. Another thing which persists is the fact that he's made a big load of money out of his immoral behaviour, and now he's making more out of telling everyone.
He says he got sucked in via some woman he fancied, and that he wasn't that good with the women, so it was a weakness. It doesn't convince me. He clearly misses out any details which would get him the chop, so he's not really reformed.
Anyone who didn't already understand what goes on, would probably benefit from reading this book, but if you don't or can't believe that most things are a big con, then probably you'll just think it's a tall tale. If you do realize, then there's nothing new in this book, so it's of mid level interest.
