Warm and comfortable,
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: Dreamland Fleece Under Blanket Kingsize Dual Control (Kitchen & Home)
I've owned this for a little over a month now....thought I'd wait a little while before posting a review.
The fleece covering on this electric blanket makes it really comfortable, we can't feel the blanket/wires underneath us at all. It fixes to the bed with 'tapes' (string to you and me) which is fine, it hasn't moved in the time we've had it. The 9 heat settings are invaluable, as we can always find a temperature that's right for the night. Each side heats separately, with a separate control, so you can tailor it to exactly what heat you want. I was a bit worried about the timer part...like would we be able to hear it switching off (I'm a very light sleeper) but thankfully it's completely silent.
So why the 4 stars? Well the only thing we've found is that it could do with being a bit longer. There's approx 2 inches all the way round the blanket which doesn't heat. For the width this is fine, as the blanket actually slightly overhangs the width of the bed, but we find the blanket length a little short. We don't have the blanket underneath our pillows, so starting it from that position the blanket still doesn't reach the bottom of the mattress (our mattress/bed is a standard king size - never had problems with fitted sheets etc). Then take into account the bottom 2 inches doesn't heat and we find the 'extra foot warmth' thing is a bit irrelevant - that ends up being on my calves and I'm only 5ft6"! So basically I still end up wearing bed socks, which was what I was trying to avoid.
Overall I'm happy with this blanket as it's both comfortable and better than being cold in bed - I just wish it was a little longer that's all.

Thank you Mr Gumby!
As an update, I've owned this electric blanket for around 17 months now and it's still going strong. Long may that continue!
