In terms of instrumentation this is a much more minimal offering than the last three previous albums. Having said this some may find Scott's notion of song structure difficult to grasp (as far as left-field popular music goes this will be challenging for a number of listeners; however, his juxtapotionional approach of different musical episodes can arguably be traced to Scott 3 'It's raining today', although this song was very different in its nature). It's great to hear Scott taking such an approach over the the whole of side two - vinyl offereing - with 'SDSS1416+13B (this shows how song structure can really be challenged and at times seems to reference back to The 'Tilt' album with some of the arrangement ideas as well as structural ones). This album came quicker than expected; maybe he's becoming prolific in his older age (I say this tongue in cheek - just like some of the humour found in the last few albums). Cheers Scott this is fabulous and a real pleasure to listen to. Anyone leaving a 1 star review here really needs to question why they feel qualified to do so!
