This book was one of the best novels I've read recently. It is so good that I think it doesn't even need a review, just go and read it yourself.
The story is interesting although as an adult reader I kept asking "what is the big deal?" but maybe for a 16 year old, things look more important, and grand somehow, I'd understand that.
The characters are lovely. The honesty of the narrator and how reliable and smart her brother is was heart-warming.
The writing is smart, interesting and funny. There hasn't been a moment where I thought "ok, enough with this, move on."
She is Not Invisible was the first Sedgwick book I've read. I'll sure read others by him. I think this novel would be good especially if you are dealing with a teenager who doesn't like reading much because there is so much in it that would grab the reader's attention.
