This review is from: Ghost Ship [DVD] (DVD)
The concept was an interesting one, what a shame about its execution. The script was clankier than the set, acting was in parts wooden and the pacing stilted in places. However, we are given a glimpse of what the film could have been in the "reveal" sequence, when the little girl shows Julianna Margulies the history behind the ship. I found this scene simultaneously touching and stifling, and indeed the only reason the film sticks in my memory is through this sequence.
Apart from that, the film is heavy on the blood and gore and light on plot, script and so on. A shame, as I belive that Julianna Margulies is capable of far more than she was given in the inadequate vehicle.
