Sensitive and Moving,
This review is from: Light On Snow (Paperback)
This is a tale of a young girl who lives alone with her father since the death of her mother and baby sister in a car accident (it is written from the point of view of the girl herself). One day, whilst walking in the snow-filled woods, father and daughter come across a tiny baby, abandoned in the snow. Their part in the baby's salvation and in the events that follow, cause both father and daughter to re-assess themselves and their own relationship. Anita Shreve writes in a very gentle way, but with enough power to make you think about the events that have taken place, even when you have completed the book.
