Really good product,
This review is from: Navigon 2210 Satellite Navigation System - Full Europe (Electronics)
I bought the new 2210 direct from Navigon as there are a few stock issues with it, also bought it without reading a proper review, but hey someone's got to be first!
A compact box houses the sat-nav, charge lead (incorporating the traffic aerial), USB cable and suction mounts and cradle. A case would have been appreciated as its bound to get scratched. I previously had a Garmin Nuvi 350 and the GTM12 traffic receiver and really wanted something equal or better to that so it had to have TTS, Europe maps and have traffic. The 2210 has all of these and is much faster calculating and drawing the routes which is what you'd expect from a newer satnav. The unit itself is very compact and sleek and is not much bigger than the screen.
I was a bit worried about the traffic working correctly being that the aerial is further down in the car but it picked it up fine (slower than the GTM12) and seemed to have more information then before.
I haven't had a chance to try out the lane assist where is shows you what exit to take but a handy feature is displaying the current speed limit on the screen and warning you if you go over it (all configurable). Also the advance warnings are good saying things like 'In 400 yds take the second exit at the roundabout' whereas the Garmin didn't do that until you were there!
There seems to be plenty of POIs but the big downside is the inability to add your own via an external tool like POILoader with the Garmin so you are stuck with the ones that come with the unit. Also there seems to be only one TTS voice a female called Emily and it would have been nice to have a choice of voices. Another downside is the font is quite small and detailed (especially with the traffic) so you might have trouble reading the info if you have bad eyes, probably should have got the widescreen version!
The registration process is quick and easy and the Navigon Fresh allows you to update the unit if new software comes out and you can also buy and install new maps if needed with this tool.
So all in all a great product with a couple of niggles. I'd give it a 4.5 if I could.

Do the TMC and Speed Camera service come as standard, or do you have to purchase these as extras?

R. Kent says:
TMC is standard for UK yes, I bought mine direct from Navigon and it came with 3 month trial of speed cameras, as to what happens after 3 months I don't know, maybe they'll get deleted?
