Great value for money,
This review is from: Saitek ST30 Joystick (PC) (Video Game)
Like others say this is cheap and cheerful, if you're looking for a no-nonsense joystick without breaking the bank, or you're just getting into flight sims then you can't go wrong with this one. 4-way POV hat switch, trigger, 3 buttons and throttle control. A word of warning though - this joystick has no twist axis for rudder control, which may or may not be a big deal for you. If this is your first joystick then it will probably make no difference to you. It can be a hindrance in combat flight sims (see below) as having to press 2 buttons at the same time makes it harder to shoot guns/missiles during a yaw. I found it awkward to begin with as this is the first joystick I've used without the "twist" axis, but it's easy enough to use the hat switch instead (or the buttons depending on what's most comfortable).
Players looking to use the ST30 for combat flight sims may find it limiting due to a lack of buttons to program all the usual fire missiles, change target, change views and dispense countermeasures controls into the stick for quick access, and the lack of twist axis, but for the price you can't possibly argue, and if you're playing a commercial flight sim then these things won't be an issue. The stick is very lightweight, comfortable to use, nice and responsive, and there's nothing to install either (just plug it into the USB and you're good to go), so for £10 look no further!
