3.0 out of 5 stars Answering machine does not time stamp calls, 26 July 2011
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: Philips CD2753S/05 Cordless Phone with Answering Machine (Electronics)
The answering machine does not time stamp calls. In other words, the answering machine will not tell you the date and time of voice messages. I tried to find this information out before buying but no luck so hopefully this will help you if this is important to you.

Hanging up on somebody does not free the line unless they hang up. In other words, you hang up and then want to make another call but you cannot make the next call until the other person hangs up and frees the line. They are still on the line. Strange.

Sound quality is very good. Speaker works really well. I would say battery life is fine but I do not use the phone continuously for hours so maybe not the best person to review battery life.

Dan Carver says:
The line not freeing until the other person hangs up is actually quite common. In fact, it's often used in a scam where someone calls up and claims to be from the phone company demanding payment or they'll cut the connection. You hang up but they stay on the line, blocking outgoing calls. When they phone you back later, they tell you they temporarily disconnected you and demand payment again.
