Not shiny enough,
This review is from: Mirrorball (Audio CD)
The combination of these two musicians seems propitious, but...alas. It's the most uninspiring music I've heard in a while. Guthrie doodles while Foxx moans and wails in what sounds like a cave - but it's not even that interesting. I first heard this as background music and completely lost interest, but a second attentive listen was no better. If you're familiar with their work beware this will be EXACTLY what you would expect, only not as good. And the liner notes...well, where are they? Different shots of the cover in an 8 page booklet and nothing else. Nothing to explain why this album exists, not even a haiku. No wonder no one buys cds any more...

Stephen E. Andrews says:
Millions of people still buy CDs. Millions of us will continue to buy physical products for a very long time. Contrary to what the media would have everyone believe, downloads are still only a small percentage of album sales. ...and last year, 3 million vinyl records were sold. A drop in the ocean on a planet with billions (billions too many) people residing upon it, but still a lot of a format that is supposedly gone. I'll buy this album on CD, thanks, rather than download some thin and wispy mp3...
