Nero 12 Platinum,
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: NERO 12 Platinum (PC) (CD-ROM)
Had Nero 8 but would not load on my new windows 8 laptop so I purchased the new version of Nero platinum12, I wish I hadn't bothered. It is very difficult to use and you get no feedback from Nero support. My old system Nero 8 was simple to use and I got along with it fine, so why make things complicated with the new version that needs a Ba in science to understand it. Tried to convert music files to Mp3 files which it says it does but nowhere within the system can I find this. When you try to copy it just copies what you put into the computer. I tried saving the files in the library but that was also fruitless. It could be that I am doing something wrong, but I have tried everything, if you are intent on buying this item make sure that you know the pitfalls because you will get no feed back from Nero.

Nero Software says:
Hello Mr. Dragonheart,
I work for Nero and saw your comment about the trouble you're having with Nero 12 Platinum. Nero 12 Platinum
contains a function that was created especially for your needs. Please start Nero Burning ROM. The first window
will be the `New Compilation' window. Please close this one and click on `Extras'. You will now see a number of
different options. Click on `Encode Files...'. Please use this function if you want to change the file format of any of
your audio files available on your system.
Please refer to our Nero Burning ROM manual for a detailed explanation how to use this function:
(Please check page 64 of this manual)

You as an employee of Nero cannot be blamed for trying to defend the indefensible. I was going to purchase as an upgrade Nero 12 today, having used previous Nero versions for many years. After reading the many Amazon reviews of this software, for which I am grateful, they have convinced me that I would be throwing my money away on a piece of junk. Is their a trial version of Nero 12 so potential customers can try before they buy ? On second thoughts would rather not know about trial, I can do without the hassle.
