Beware the Squares,
This review is from: Principia Discordia: How I Found Goddess And What I Did To Her When I Found Her (Forgotten Books) (Paperback)
This is a work of epic lunacy. It is a wonderful jaunt into the world of absurdity and is so much more entertaining than the majority of other philosophical or pseudo-occult banality I have encountered oft before.
One of the themes you meet early on is that the world, or life and whatnot, is taken to be more serious that it really ought to. A fact seemingly lost on the other reviewer. You will be told about the Greyfaces that love nothing more than being ultra-square, keeping things ordered and making sure you don't deviate from their little plan. This is very useful. Especially when people start name dropping supposed intellectuals into book reviews.
Another, and the heart of the whole thing, is chaos. Coherence and chaos are not great bedfellows, so if you buy this expecting structure you deserve what you get.
Well there you go. Even if you don't enjoy reading it, you can still have fun by confounding the uptight folks with quotes from it.
