When one moves to Britain from abroad, one is quickly faced with this country mysterious attitudes to its past. One being the quaint belief in Arthur , a more than likely fictional character over more than probably real heroic figures like Penda of Mercia; but we could add the ongoing waged War of the Roses between Leicester and York regarding the fate of the remains of Richard who probably did not kill his nephews or the fact Brits are keen to shove in one's ears Crecy, Agincourt and others though remaining oblivious to the fact ,,, well Britain did not win the Hundred Years war...
This book will explain you why, will redress un-truths, opens your eyes to new wiser realities with a smile and remind us that yes: Britain and France will have been at peace since about 200 years; a lot longer than with Germany.
This is a treasure trove of rather well written historical facts. Facts are seldom romanticized but they should! Buy this book, offer this book. Spread happiness with this book! It is worth it!
