Best NBA Game for PS2,
By A Customer
This review is from: NBA Street (PS2) (Video Game)
This Is A Great game, dont get me wrong, but there are those little flaws that prevents the game getting the full monty.
The Season Mode is far too short, I Agree with the other reviewer when they said that after completing it once, its finished. I Played the game all day and night when i got it, but now it seems to of lost that special something. But Hell, if you love basketball, this game should be sitting in your PS2 Stand right now!
When you start the 'City Circuit' mode, you choose one of the NBA teams + Micheal Jordan.
Every time you complete a region, you advance and face a 'boss', each boss has its own characteristics so it adds more variety to your team, instead of having your average 7ft Freak. And after each region you complete, you also can unlock new courts, and creat-a-player points, I Liked the way after beating a team(eg LA Lakers) you can take one of their players(eg Shaq O'Neill)This is definatly better than the normal, roster swaps on other NBA games.
When your playing the matches, you can perform tricks to increase your 'gamebreaker' meter, which when full, lets you perform a special shot which takes a couple of points off the other team and gives you a couple. To keep the game even, 2 points is awarded in the 3point zone, and 1 point is for the 2point zone, if you get me?.
The Graphics were the first thing that impressed me upon playing this game, with super smooth backgrounds and solid character animation, probably making this the most impressive EA game I've seen in terms of Graphics, i definatly would recommend this game for anyone whos looking for a quick burst of fun and energy, but for anyone looking for a long-term haul, wait for final fantasy 10.
