This review is from: Remington ® Sp-399 Combined Shear Head (Personal Care)I was given a Remington razor earlier this year. As a razor it was OK, but it was only 3 months before the first set of foils gave up. I was shocked at the high cost of replacements - the cheapest were over £30. Mind you you have to buy cutters which you don't need with them. Then the second lot packed up after only another 3 months. I am sorry but I regard £120 a year on running costs a bit excessive for any razor. So it's back to the faithful old Braun. When will people like Remington learn that we won't be ripped off by selling parts which probably cost them a couple of pound for twenty times as much.

Absolutely right about Remington, not the fault of Spares-2-Go. 3/6 months for a foil (+unwanted cutters) is not on; I complained to Remington & got a free set; tried again without success. Bet you can't replace the battery either ! Not that good a razor either, especially at the early-on-the-market price, although you can get them cheaper now. Lidl do a good electric at £25, but not very often.

Remington SP399. Foil & Cutter fits shavers F6790 & F7790. Comfort 360. RRP £30.64
My last replacement Foil and cutters were bought for £30 in March 2011 and have given perfect use since then till today February 2013. The secret in making them last is not to remove the foil and cutters too often. I only wash them every 6 weeks or so and that way give perfect performance. The current online price of less than £19.00 is a bargain which at my rate of use equals only about £9.50 or less a year (about 18p a week).
