5.0 out of 5 stars Addiction at its best, 9 Nov. 2010
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: 24 - Season 1-8 and Redemption [DVD] (DVD)
This set is presented in a slipcase with 10 normal sized DVD cases. The first 8 contain 6 DVDs for each season. Box 9 contains 6 bonus discs (Seasons 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 and 8) The final box contains the single DVD edition of Redemption.
(I thought they might have included the Extended 2-Disc Collector's Edition here, but not so).

For the uninitiated 24 is the most addictive TV series ever shown, it only slows down in season 6 momentarily and then back up to full speed in season 7, my personal favourite. (Redemption is a prequel to season 7)
24 follow's the events of a day in the life of Agent Jack Bauer (played by Kiefer Sutherland) in real time.

24 is an extremely well produced series with a great cast and guest appearances. It is the perfect vehicle for Kiefer Sutherland's talent. 24 is the only TV series I have managed to watch completely from start to finish. I have previously owned 24 - Complete Seasons 1-6 [DVD] [2001] now that this set has been delivered I intend to watch everthing again from start to finish.

As far fetched as 24 can seem at times, its not to far removed from reality in America. I want to be on Jack Bauers side

Can you tell me what's on the bonus disc for season 8? Since the separate season doesn't have a bonus disc and just 6 discs...

Or maybe post a picture of the box and its insides?

Thank you very much...

Excellent review, just the kind of review for Amazon. I'm a big fan of 24, i have the first 6 seasons and the CE of Redemption, haven't bought the other seasons yet because i thought i'd wait until a great collection comes out, gives me some new discs to view. It's a shame about the 2-disc version of Redemption, Fox could've given it, but at least they gave the broadcast version which is all that matters.

Thanks a lot!!

Hi! Every Season and Redemption have english subtitles for the hearing impaired, but no 'plain' subtitles.

I'd just like to take a moment and give credit to the reviewer here as this is how you're supposed to review DVD & Blu-ray if you're not going to do a scores down of the show itself, run down of the physical packaging and/or extras that come with it. Most people from what I see here tend to just wax lyrical about the items either they love it or they hate it but I rarely see a deconstruction or description of the said item especially for dvd & blu ray. So job well done to this reviewer imo.
