For some reason, I listened to a lot of Noel Coward songs with a schoolfriend back in the 70s (I think she nicked her parents' records), and always loved them. On a sudden whim, I bought this out of nostalgia, and was very impressed by this two-disc CD, containing parts of some of his plays as well as a range of songs spanning his entire career, all clear and scratch-free. Now if I want to feel sentimental or buoyed up with wartime pluck, or laugh at Mrs Wentworth-Brewster in the bar on the Piccola Marina, I can do so easily. A definite must for fans of Mr Coward, and a good starting point for those who have never previously heard his clever writings.
