This review is from: Tag, You're It! (Berkley Sensation) (Mass Market Paperback)
2nd book by the author of the excellant and witty "All Jacked up". Like the first book this is also a witty romantic suspense, with sharp, funny dialogue between Alex and Tag.
Basically, Alex Scott, a zoologist, has given up Boston society for the wilds of the Colarado mountains and a research grant studying mountain lions, much to her society mother's distress.
FBI agent, Tag Donovan, is recovering from being shot six months ago and his friend and partner being killed by a mobster. Tag is given an "easy, fluff" undercover assignment by his boss in order to stop him from going after the mobster and getting himself killed. He is to get to the bottom an alleged con scam and find out how zoologist Alex Stone is involved.
Tag enters Alex's isolated world when he is literally thrown out of a small aeroplane without a parachute, landing in a snow drift virtually at her feet. With the help of her antisocial horse, Jackass, Alex drags the unconscious Tag back to her cabin. The next thing she knows is that her cabin is fire-bombed and she and Tag are on the run from men on snow-mobiles.
Add to the mix instant attraction, a small town full of excentrics, incompetent 'hit-men', gold-fever, mobsters, Alex's rat of an ex-fiancee and a fiesty independent heroine and you have romantic suspense fun.
Good, interesting fun read.
