This review is from: V SYSTEM SCOTTOILER (Misc.)My fourth Scottoiler, so obviously I'm a big fan. It's not because I've had trouble that this is my fourth, it's just that I like to fit a new one to a new bike. I do plenty of biking miles and very rarely do I have to adjust the chain and almost never need new sprockets. The chain and sprockets are always clean and looking like new. Saves work, saves money and you'll probably never have to clean your chain and sprockets ever again.
I would recommend the Scottoiler to anyone with a chain driven motorcycle, but also give them the following advice:-
When your engine is running, the Scottoiler dispenses oil by way of gravity and at a flow rate pre-set by the user. To prevent excessive throw off onto the back wheel, the dispensing flow rate needs to be set correctly, then periodically adjusted with the weather seasons, as oil will flow at different rates depending on it's temperature. Adjustment is very simple and takes no time at all. But being realistic, if you look after your chain and sprockets with any lubricant, then you experience a certain amount of throw off anyway.
If you have any problems, the people at Scottoiler are very friendly and very helpful.
