Ignorance may be the problem,
This review is from: Veho VMS-004, 20-400x Magnification USB Digital Microscope Camera with 2 Mega Pixel Cmos lens (interpolated) and alloy flexi-stand and measurement software (Camera)
It took minutes to set up the Veho on my MacBook Pro. It took me minutes to get the first pictures on my screen. I think that the criticisms that have been made in many of the reviews must arise out of a lack of understanding of how to use the equipment rather than the equipment itself. I have managed excellent photos at the largest magnification and at the smallest magnification of things from plant parts to the surface of my cellphone and credit card. May I suggest to Veho that they put more in the manual about positioning and use of the magnification ring (which does take some experimentation because an object will be clearly in focus at different magnifications at different distances from the lens) and not just on the computer side of things (which in my instructions is for Windows not Apple anyway). May I suggest to users who are not happy that they persevere for a little longer and try varying the distance and the intensity of the LED lights because the results are worth it.
