Essential for identification, even for snorkellors,
This review is from: Coral Reef Guide Red Sea (Paperback)
In just one week of snorkelling at Sharm el Sheikh, this book had helped us to identify over 100 different species. The only hesitation is the quality of some photographs: they can make it difficult to identify the various parrotfish and silver fish.
Harrison & Misiewicz's "Reef fishes and corals of the Red Sea" can have better pictures but it has fewer species. The laminated card is also useful for quick identification and it has the advantage of being able to go into the water with you.
The card which comes with Mojetta's "The Red Sea underwater paradise" is fairly comprehensive and well illustrated.
