What can I say, its simply a stunning account survival. What is a little different about this and other 'survival' stories is that Nansen never saw himself as the heroic survivor type, just a man on expedition. As you read the book you'll come across parts that make you think "How did they survive"
What the team took in their stride and often without comment made me think that these men truly are a special breed.
Its a remarkable book and well worth taking the time to read from cover to cover.
